ONE WORD - "GRACE"

The subject of grace permeates the pages of Scripture. It is the foundation of salvation. Without God's grace we would be utterly lost!  The object of this lesson is for us to appreciate the depth of God's amazing grace.
We invite you to view the video below and follow along in the outline as we seek to understand the word "Grace".

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
(1 Corinthians 15:10)

ONE WORD - WRATH

Last week we pondered the question, "What ever happened to sin?" The answer may be related to the fact that many have stopped talking about the Wrath of God. While people rarely want to contemplate the punishment for sin, the truth of the matter is that the Jesus wants us to consider it! In His earthly ministry Jesus preached more about Hell than He did about Heaven. While the Wrath of God may be something we do not want to consider, it is something we MUST consider.

We invite you to view the video below and follow along in the outline as we seek to understand more about God's Wrath.

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek. (Romans 2:4-9, NKJV)

ONE WORD - "SIN"

The world engages in sin and seeks to justify its behavior. While they glorify and even applaud sinful activities, Christians can not allow the world's ideas concerning sin to influence Christian teaching and behavior. As always, God must be the One to shape our understanding of sin. Sin cannot be ignored. We must deal with it or else it will deal with us (Romans 6:23). Jason Moon has said, "The question is not, 'Will I sin?' The question is 'How will I respond to my sin?'"

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.  Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. (James 1:12-15)

ONE WORD - "CREATION"

The first thing that the Bible teaches us about God is that He is the Creator. Many today endeavor to attack the Bible and reshape it to mesh with the philosophies of man. Yet we must stand firm. We must remain true to its most fundemental  teaching, "In the Beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1).
